A total of 48,000 tons of fruit juice and concentrates worth $38 million were exported from Iran to 35 countries during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21), according to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
“Our main export destinations were Pakistan with $9.66 million, Turkey with $6.52 million and Afghanistan with $6.15 million. Other main customers of Iranian fruit juice and concentrates were Germany, New Zealand, Russia, Norway and Kuwait,” Rouhollah Latifi was also quoted as saying by ILNA.
Latifi added that 2,111 tons of fruit juice worth $2.11 million were imported into Iran during the same period from eight countries, namely Turkey, Brazil, Belgium, the UAE, Spain, Thailand, India and Italy.
“The main imported product in this category was pineapple juice that accounted for nearly $2.1 million of the purchases over the four months,” he said.
