Iran participated in the largest tourism exhibition in Switzerland from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1.
The ribbon to FESPO 2015 was cut on Friday by chief economic adviser to the Iran Embassy in Bern Mohsen Salarian, together with former ambassador of Switzerland to Tehran, Philippe Welti.
During the four-day event, officials of Iran-Switzerland friendship group together with the specialists of Riahi Travel presented Iran’s huge tourism potential to Swiss travelers.
In addition to organized individual and group tours, Swiss nationals are increasingly drawn to explore Iran by themselves, in their own personal vehicles, according to Mehr News.
Most of the requests during this fair were about the country itself, travel opportunities as well as general information about Iran and its people. Iran’s booth also sought to strengthen the centuries-old ties between Switzerland and Iran.
