A total of 5,550 coronavirus-hit businesses have received 575 billion rials [$2.46 million] in loans from banks by July 12. 
According to a report by the Central Bank of Iran, out of 167,000 businesses that have been found eligible to receive government-backed coronavirus loans, 134,000 have been introduced to banks or credit institutions.
Some 5,550 out of 11,100 businesses in the process of receiving loans (providing documents and offering collaterals) have taken out the aforementioned sum by July 12. 
Following the outbreak of coronavirus, the Iranian government approved a 750 trillion-rial bailout plan for low-income households and struggling businesses. 
The loans included 10 million rials worth of Qarzol-Hassaneh loans (interest-free microcredit) for each eligible households and a total of 490 trillion rial ($3.21 billion) worth of loans at the interest rate of 12% with a repayment period of two years for economic enterprises.
