Istanbul Airport will resume flights to and from Iran from August 1, says Maqsoud Asadi-Samani, secretary of the Association of Iranian Airlines.
According to the official, domestic airlines currently operate weekly flights to London, Paris and Amsterdam, Fars News Agency reported.
Flights to Thailand and Malaysia are operated once a week, though planes fly to these destinations empty and passengers get onboard there, since these countries do not allow Iranian passengers to land over fears of coronavirus spread.
“Iranian airlines are operating below 50% of their actual capacities at present,” Asadi-Samani said.
