A total of 3.66 million tons of iron ore pellets were produced in Iran during the first month of the current fiscal year (March 20-April 19) to register a 4% decrease compared with last year's corresponding period.
Latest data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization show Golgohar was the largest producer with 1.02 million tons (down 3% YOY), followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company with 608,101 tons (down 9% YOY), MIDHCO with 550,555 tons (down 5% YOY), Khouzestan Steel Company with 536,743 (down 1% YOY), Chadormalu with 331,301 tons (down 2% YOY), Opal Parsian Sangan with 289,326 tons (down 6% YOY), Sangan Mineral and Industrial Company with 231,294 tons (up 8% YOY), Khorasan Steel Company with 43,147 tons (down 39% YOY) and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company with 44,872 tons (up 13% YOY).
