Coding Contest Underway in Kish

The second edition of a computer programming marathon called Hackahealth is underway at the international campus of Sharif University of Technology on Kish Island, off the Persian Gulf.
The event started on April 27 and will wrap up on April 29, the contest's website Hackahealth.org reported.
During the contest, coders get together to design solutions to challenges facing Iran’s healthcare industry.
That is why the competition is called Hackahealth, a portmanteau that combines "hackathon" and "health".
According to the contest’s executive secretary, Sajjad Sangsari, programmers from different countries are competing in 20 teams of six members each. 
Since the first day of the contest, programmers participate in an intensive planning and coding competition. 
The teams are required to design and present smartphone applications for providing solutions in the field of medical technology. The apps will then be judged by the event's jury.  
Technical mentors and medical experts help the teams develop a functioning product.
The best three teams will be awarded prizes worth 100 to 300 million rials ($714-2,100). 
The winners will also have the opportunity to attend special training courses organized by the host university, which prepare them for turning their solutions into business models in the field of medical technology.
The first Hackahealth was hosted by Abadan University of Medical Sciences in 2016 with 21 teams, as well as six technical and six health mentors.
