Sorkheh Hesar National Park located on the eastern flank of the capital will become the first smart park, as per an initiative of the Tehran Municipality Information and Communications Technology Organization.
The organization and Municipality’s District 13 (where the park is located) are to jointly work on the project, tmicto.tehran.ir reported.
The park will be equipped with smart security cameras, smart parking lots and a smart irrigation system, which unlike traditional irrigation controllers that operate on a preset programmed schedule and timers, smart irrigation controllers monitor weather, soil conditions, evaporation and plant water use to automatically adjust the watering schedule to actual conditions of the site.
