Game lovers and developers can participate in Istanbul’s International Digital Entertainment and Games Expo 2019 (known as GIST) using a 20% discount on entrance tickets.
GIST 2019, slated for Jan. 31 to Feb. 3, 2019, at Eurasia Show and Art Center in Istanbul, is a game exhibition which brings together professionals and amateurs including game studios, distributors, console and hardware producers, designers, academia and media organizations.
The decision to provide Iranians with a discount is in line with GIST policies to establish stronger ties with Iran’s game industries and market, news website WEBNA reported. According to the event’s website, tickets cost 16.50 lira ($2.8).
To get their discount, Iranian buyers should refer to the event's website (gamingistanbul.com) and indicate that they are from Iran.
A 10% discount on tickets is also offered to Iranians who took part in last year's event.
According to the event's website, GIST has so far seen an 11% increase in ticket sales compared to the event last year when 84 exhibitors participated in the competition.
