Iran’s Center for Cyberspace Developers will hold the second web gathering ‘Persian Web Conference 2017’ (PWCONF) on August 3.

Experts will speak on different web design fields during the event to be held at the conference center of the Telecoms Ministry in Tehran, WEBNA reported this week.

According to the event website, aficionados in the field of science and technology can attend the meeting that will focus on five major subjects, namely Internet-based businesses, economics of cyberspace, cyber-security, web-based systems and web development and design.

Similar to the previous round held in December 2016, a side-line panel discussion will be held focusing on the local web challenges and capacities.

In a brainstorming session panelists will be asked  questions be developers and other participants.

Thursday’s speakers include Reza Farnasab, secretary of the Internet Business Owners Guild, Hamid Sepidnam, e-commerce business developer and Nazanin Daneshvar CEO of local discounting website Takhfifan.

 Closing the Digital Divide

According to Hamid Reza Hemmati, head of the event, the annual event aims to help bridge the gap between the government and private enterprise.

Speaking to the Financial Tribune the director said that with the development of technology and high public interest in the internet “we have witnessed noticeable advancements.”

“The current developments in the industry are due to the efforts of young people in this realm,” he said following the success of last year’s round.

Hemmati said investors have provided financial support and the backing of government organizations in this field is also gathering pace.

“With events like these, startup enthusiasts will have more opportunity to present their innovative ideas and by extension benefit from effective  support,” he said.

The event has been organized in collaboration with the Telecoms Ministry and Iran’s Cyber Police.

This year’s event is sponsored by Iran Technology News Agency (ITNA) and Sarmed News.
