Iran’s online commerce and app industry has exploded over the past 12 months. With valuations at the top of the local online shopping industry touted to be over $500 million for DigiKala, the industry has seen a rapid acceleration.
Part of this fast growth and expansion has been seen by four main players, one of them being Sarava Pars, who hosts the Avatech accelerator.
Another minor player that could see its market share grow is Romak, funded in part by Germany’s Rocket Internet and local mobile phone operator MTN-Irancell.
