One Dead in Bushehr Floods

Heavy rainfall and flooding in Dashtestan County, Bushehr Province killed a 38-year old woman on Friday. The woman from Shahpesar-Mard village was trying to protect her livestock from the flood waters when she was swept into the swirling waters and drowned, said Dashtestan’s governor Arsalan Zare. “The recent flooding has closed rural roads in 15 villages in the county,” he said urging people to avoid the swollen rivers following consecutive days of heavy rain, IRNA reported.
