Barekat Foundation has plans to construct 10 hospitals with 1,234 beds in the country and $240 million (9,600 billion rials) has been allocated for the purpose, said its head Aref Norouzi, at the opening ceremony on Saturday of Imam Khomeini Hospital constructed by the foundation in Miyaneh City, East Azarbaijan Province. Barekat Foundation (affiliated to Setad) is a special office for executing the decrees of Imam Khomeini in helping the underprivileged). The foundation is dedicated to build schools, hospitals and infrastructural facilities in underdeveloped regions.
