A memorandum of understanding was signed by Baqer Larijani, education deputy at the Health Ministry, and Prof. Leonidas Phylactou, head of Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING), during a meeting on Tuesday in Tehran. “Under the MoU, we aim to strengthen and develop joint education in the areas of neurology, genetics, and biomedical sciences,” Larijani told ISNA. Also, joint projects on molecular genetics and metabolism will be conducted by CING and the Iranian Research Institute for Endocrine Sciences affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Science, he added. CING is an academic, medical center established in 1990. Its mission is to develop and pursue advanced research in the areas of neurology and genetics.
