In a meeting between Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashmei and his Chinese counterpart Li Bin, the two sides explored avenues of mutual cooperation.
“Construction of hospitals and providing hospital beds, devising strategies to prevent non-communicable diseases, vaccine and medication production, and traditional medicine knowhow are some of the fields Iran and China can collaborate,” said Hashemi at the meet on the sidelines of the World Health Organization’s 9th Global Conference on Health Promotion (Nov. 21-24) in Shanghai.
Bin welcomed expansion of bilateral ties between health ministries of the two countries and officially invited Hashemi to take part in the Silk Road Conference 2017 to be held in China, which would present the opportunity to sign memoranda of understanding for joint projects, ILNA reported.
