Snow Forecast

Widespread snowfall is forecast across seven provinces of West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Alborz, Qazvin, Zanjan, Semnan, and Tehran’s mountain peaks on Monday, said Mohammad Asghari, an expert at Iran’s Meteorological Organization (IMO). Last week, early snow in Ardebil, West Azarbaijan Province disrupted water and power supply, blocked roads, and closed schools (for two days) in the city, IRNA quoted Asghari as saying. In various parts of West Azarbaijan, the temperatures have dropped considerably, with thick snow covering sidewalks and streets.
