A startup has launched a new service that delivers breakfast in the southern city of Shiraz.
Established in 2018 by Nima Chapi, the service dubbed “Fooderz” is specifically devoted to breakfast foods.
Among the items currently on their menu are Barbari (a thick type of flatbread), Sangak (an Iranian whole wheat leavened flatbread), vegetable Ash (a type of thick soup), Haleem (a stew including meat) and Kalle-Pache (boiled cow or sheep parts).
The prices range from 10,000 rials (23 cents) to 120,000 rials ($2.8). Users need to place their orders from noon to midnight to be delivered the next morning.
Fooderz operates through an application which is only available for Android phones on Cafe Bazaar. They also have a Telegram bot which offers similar services.
Telegram is the most popular messaging application in Iran with more than 40 million users. Bots are third-party applications that run inside Telegram. Users can interact with bots by sending them messages, commands and requests. Several local businesses offer services through Telegram bots.
The business is in initial phases and is yet to gain traction.
After the success of online food delivery services such as Snappfood, Reyhoon, Easypaz and Chilivery, Fooderz will join the competitive business by trying to specialize in delivering breakfast.
