A new startup has started operating in Tehran named Washlin that offers on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning services.
It operates through the website washlin.com, an Android app available for download on Google’s Play Store and local app market Café Bazaar.
According to its website, so far the app has been downloaded 3,100 times and the company has offered services to 950 clients.
Washlin guarantees the quality of service and if a customer is not satisfied with the outcome can return the clothes to the company to be washed or ironed anew for free.
Using Washlin costs slightly more than conventional dry-cleaning services. Getting a pair of suits washed and ironed by the company costs 280,000 rials ($6) and a shirt or a skirt $2.3. You can check the prices on the company’s website or app.
Washlin has a Telegram bot which offers similar services. Telegram is the most popular messaging application in Iran with 40 million users. Bots are third-party applications that run inside Telegram. Users can interact with bots by sending them messages, commands and requests. Several local businesses offer services through Telegram bots.
Washlin is not the first startup to offer on-demand dry cleaning in Tehran. Another firm Paklean introduced similar services last September.
