A local startup ‘Shamim Salamati’ (the aroma of health in Persian) has released a mobile application through which users can have access to a database of pharmacies and drug stores.
Through the application and based on their location, users can find the nearest pharmacies and check if they have the medicine they need, IRNA reported.
The company’s director Mohammad-Mehdi Kazemi says, “Close to 80% of the pharmacies are listed on the application.”
Users can upload a scanned copy of their prescription on the app or search drug’s name. The application finds the nearest drug store that has the medicine in less than an hour. Users can then check how much each prescription will cost.
“Ranking pharmacies is another part of the project,” Kazemi said. Each pharmacy has a profile on the app, and users can write reviews on their performance and rank them.
According to the director, another service will be added to the application which can be used to find the nearest hospitals, healthcare centers and clinical laboratories.
The app is available for both Android and iOS systems and users can download them from local app stores Café Bazaar and Sib App.
