Sharif University Holding Coding Contest

The third edition of Sharif University of Technology’s national programming competition ‘Code Cup’ opened on Friday. During the initial stage, programmers from across the country compete online, according to the university website. Those who pass the initial stage will enter the main competition which is to be held October 19-20 at the university’s Computer Engineering and IT Faculty in Tehran. Winners will be awarded gold coins. The event also includes training sessions, workshops, and speeches by professors and coding professionals. Some 2,000 individuals participated in the last two rounds and this year more than 1,500 young hopefuls have enrolled. One of Iran’s major ride-hailing services Snapp is the sponsor.
