Apple Inc. on Tuesday unveiled its long awaited premium smartphone iPhone X - pronounced iPhone 10.
According to the company’s official website, the device is offered in two colors, Silver and Space Gray and two capacity options 64GB and 256GB which are priced respectively $999 and $1,149.
iPhone X is a glass and stainless steel device with an edge-to-edge display that the company’s Chief Executive Tim Cook called “the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone.”
The high-end device showcases Apple’s latest technologies, including an edge-to-edge OLED display, wireless charging, and facial recognition security.
Along with iPhone X, two other handsets were unveiled, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The price for the two models varies from $699 to $949.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus upgrade the existing models without completely changing them, but iPhone X is a different matter. The ‘Home Button’ has been omitted from the model’s design altogether and the device has been designed from scratches.
iPhone X goes on sale on October 27, and it ships November 3. The 8 series will hit the market earlier. Their resales will start on September 15, and the phones arrive in stores on September 22.
The company does not have a representative in Iran but iDevices arrive in the local market few days after their international sale is launched.
