South Korea’s Ambassador to Tehran Kim Seung-Ho, has said that his country will help Iran boost its technical knowhow in industry. “South Korea is set to supports Iran in further firming the ties between research institutes and industries,” he said Monday in Tehran, Mehr News Agency reported. Kim made the remark in the closing session of the seminar KSP 2017 (Knowledge Sharing Program) held in Tehran by Iran’s National Elites Foundation. Highlighting the cordial relations between the two countries, the Korean diplomat expressed the hope that the joint seminar would help expand technological cooperation between the two sides in the area of information communication. Ali Morteza Birang, deputy director of international affairs for science and technology at the Presidential Office told the meeting that Iran is currently in a transitional phase and is moving towards a knowledge-based economy. There are more than 3,000 companies registered with the office and receiving a variety of services from the presidential body. The vice- president of the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of Korea was also present at the event.
