IT Collaboration With Thailand

In a meeting between the Telecoms Minister Mahmoud Vaezi and Thailand’s Minister of Digital Economy and Society Pichet Durongkaveroj, the two sides agreed to build cooperation in the fields of Internet and cyber security. “A document has been prepared on collaboration in IT, software, hardware and cyber security, which will be finalized in near future,” Vaezi was quoted by Mehr News Agency as saying. He said major points of collaboration include startups and research. “The Telecoms Ministry has a modern research center that will help mutual development. Iran has seen impressive progress in online business. Startups alone contributed to generating 100,000 jobs only in the last fiscal” that ended in March, the minister said.
