Amirkabir University of Technology, as one of the Iranian international robotic teams, will depart for Nagoya, Japan at the weekend to take part in RoboCup 2017 World Championship. Soroush Sadeghnejad, chairman of the University Student Association, said the research-scientific competitions are held annually in one of the countries active in the field, with the presence of world’s best robotic teams. The event is held under the auspices of the RoboCup World Federation, Mehr New Agency reported. The 21st round of competitions is being held in Japan, said to be the robotic capital of the world, in various research and industrial fields. Teams from 50 countries will show, assess and compare their achievements during the six-day competition. Hosted by the Japanese city of Nagoya, the tournament will be held from July 25-30 with an estimated 300 teams from Iran, Germany, the United States, Portugal, Austria, China, Brazil, the Netherlands, Turkey, Mexico, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Russia and Taiwan.
