Iranian Nano Council Plans Exports

Iran is set to export lab equipment in the field of nano technology to China, Ecuador, Cuba and Indonesia as part of a push to globalize the industry. Head of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, Saeed Sarkar, told Mehr News Agency this week that the organization has a lab equipment export deal with China. INIC is currently negotiating with Ecuador and will soon sign a deal to ship Iranian products to that country for lab use. According to the nano industry official, Cuban and Indonesian academic bodies have also shown interest in dealing with the organization.  The governments in Tehran over the past decade have invested extensively in the field of nano technology, setting up several production centers and research facilities dedicated to the fast growing sector. The extensive investment and local academic interest in the field has made Iran one of the major countries conducting research in the field.
