Isfahan to Host Urban Technology Festival

Iran’s ancient city of Isfahan is set to host a new annual event on New Urban Technology on August 4-6 at the city’s International Exhibition Hall.
According to Isfahan Municipality News Agency, the city will take advantage of the technological creativity of the city’s graduates and promote startups and knowledge-based businesses as an economic driver in the next few years.
Mohammd Reza Nilforoushan, chief organizer of the new event, said new technologies for enhancing the quality of urban life are to be exhibited in the presence of experts from across the world.”
“Children and young adults can also solve many of their problems on urban subjects”, Nilforoushan, who is also Isfahan Municipality’s manager for new urban technology, said.
Digital city experts from 22 countries will attend the event, with experts from dozens of developed “tech-first” cities speaking about how technology can create new industries.  
Knowledge-based companies from Iran and abroad will exhibit the most advanced technologies available for resolving the issues related to urban management and improving the quality of urban life.
The event is sponsored by Isfahan Municipality, the New Technology Center of Isfahan and Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines, as well as the vice presidency’s office, among some.
International commercial sponsors of the event include Xian Technology event, World Technopolis Association and CityNet.
Resident Isfahani startups, including Persava, Banasharif and Fan-Amooz, will also address the three-day event.
