Online Baby Business Gets Newcomer

A new online shop, babypro.ir, focused on providing mothers and babies with their needs, has been launched. Although there are already several specialized online infant shops in Iran, such as Koodakoo, and Ninilazen, which is the current leader in the market, the new startup looks to offer competition in the booming industry. Babypro.ir, much like several other websites, offers a full range of products, including pushchairs, bottles and other usual items for infants. According to online analytical sources, the nascent website had less than 5,000 views in May, with average visiting time lasting no more than two minutes. In a talk with Financial Tribune earlier, Koodakoo owners said the sales of online baby juvenile products is more difficult in Iran due to issues with Google Adwords which remains banned for Iranian users.
