Apple Inc. is set to release an authentic Persian keyboard in its forthcoming upgrade for its operating system, iOS11, the American firm announced on Tuesday at its latest gathering called WWDC2017. So far, Persian speaking users had to use a variety of keyboards developed by third party programmers or a jumbled mix of English and Arabic letters to write Persian words. The company is barred from selling in Iran due to US sanctions that ban American firms from operating in the country. However, it seems that the market is expanding for Apple products in Iran and other Persian speaking countries like Afghanistan and Iraqi Kurdistan. Persian is the 15th most spoken language in the world with 120 million speakers.
