Google Readies New AI Investment Program

Internet search giant Google has launched a new venture capital program focused solely on artificial intelligence in a bid to boost the fledgling industry and back some future key players.  The new VC program is likely to be the first firing shot among several large US and Chinese tech companies who all see that AI is likely to be the future driver of economic growth as the industry matures, according to reports from tech news sites. Google has never before had an investment program of this sort and the effort is aimed to boost small companies who have got a lead start in the industry in recent months.   The search engine is looking to make small investments into the project in a range of $1 million to $10 million.  Several larger companies have been spearheading their own programs of late with, Adobe Inc., more commonly known for its graphic and web software, developing new software called Adobe VoCo which can learn to copy anyone’s voice in 20 minutes flat.
