Iran Tech Mart (locally known as Fan Bazaar) and Pardis Technology Park are set to hold the third round of Iran Startup Demo Day on May 25.
The event which will take place at Milad Hall of Tehran International Fair Grounds, aims to connect new startups and investors, according to Mehr News Agency.
In this regard, Akbar Ghanbarpor, head of Iran Tech Mart said “During the previous round of the event, 20 startups were connected to investors interested in the tech-based economy.”
Two of the startups were able to sign deals with investors and their projects are in progress.
Explaining further, Ghanbarpor said, “During the event, startups showcase their services and products. Investors and incubator companies will study the startups’ proposed business plans and after negotiations which are brokered by Iran Tech Mart, deals may be signed.”
Startup events are becoming increasingly popular for Iranian youth. Government agencies and private groups are actively now backing them in the hope of gaining from “this next big electronic business in the country.”
Other events in the country, the so-called ‘Ham Fekr’ and ‘Startup Grind’ also offer the chance for young entrepreneurs to promote their business online content to potential investors.
