The upcoming edition of Iran’s International Exhibition of Electronics, Computer and E-Commerce (ELECOMP) will be held July 21-24 at Tehran’s International Fairgrounds. The previous rounds of the exhibition were held in December. The decision to move the event to summer is due to ongoing complaints by visitors that the event was held during school term time and many could not visit, ICTNA reported. As schools and universities are closed in July for the summer holidays the fair would be able to attract a wider range of visitors. More than 360 domestic businesses and 86 foreign firms from 18 countries participated in previous round of ELECOMP during which 250 local internet startups showcased their services during the four-day event.
