The deadline for submission to the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize Secretariat was December 31, and new works will not be accepted, according to the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation (MSTF). A total number of 152 works were submitted to the Mustafa Prize Secretariat in four categories of “Life and Medical Science and Technology”, Information and Communication Technology”, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and “All areas of Science and Technology,” Mehr News Agency reported. The call for the 2017 Mustafa Prize was made in April 2016. Expert Committees have been screening and evaluating the submitted works since September last in order to present a list of the final selected works to the respective Jury Committees. Works with the highest votes from the Jury Committees will be announced as the winners of the 2017 Mustafa Prize during the biennial awards ceremony, scheduled later this year in December. The first Mustafa Prize awards ceremony was held in 2015 in Tehran.
