Instagram Launches New Features

Instagram has rolled out many new features this year and the latest features include live video and vanishing message—watch out Snapchat et al.
The new features, which are part of Instagram Stories, allow users to do the live video chat that now disappear after using the service—the live videos are ephemeral, according to the press release from the company.
To go live, you will need to swipe right from your Instagram feed to open the camera, then tap “Start Live Video”. You can share for up to one hour.
When you start a stream, your friends can get a notification so that they can hop into the stream.
If someone you are following starts a live video, you’ll see “Live” under their profile photo in your Stories bar.
The other new Instagram feature is support for disappearing photos and videos in Instagram Direct, through which you can send photos and images to specific people so that only they see them.
Now you can also send photos and images that will disappear from your friends’ inboxes after they are viewed.
