Iranian Investment Prospects Showcased at Gitex

For the second consecutive year, Iran was present at the Gitex Technology Week that opened in Dubai, the UAE, on October 18.

Iran had an exclusive pavilion, in which eight Iranian companies showcased their goods and services, reported Iran’s Telecommunications Company of Iran on its official website.

According to KeyShowIR, an online channel reporting Iran’s technological developments, a conference was held to introduce investment opportunities in the country’s information and communications technology sector.

During the conference, Khosrow Saljouqi, representing Iran’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, said one of the potential areas of investment is Iran’s blooming technology parks.

To integrate all activities carried out in the field of information technology, the state has been vastly investing in technology parks. According to Saljouqi, If Iran has 38 tech parks active in producing tech-related goods for offering content providing services.

“The foreign companies can enable these centers to boost their services and upgrade their facilities both through investment and knowledge transfer,” he said.

“In addition to the vast domestic market, Iran’s well-educated workforce and country’s export ties offer a lucrative investment chance to international companies and states.”

According to Saljouqi, internal messaging applications and search engines are some of the growing sectors of Iran’s information technology market and one of the better investment options.

During the event, Microsoft, Lenovo, HP, Digi Robotics, Intel and other leading companies active in the sector showcased their latest products. Drones and virtual reality were also in the spotlight.
