Iran’s Center for Cyberspace Developers will host an event titled, Persian Web Conference 2016, in December.
Scheduled for December 12, the event will be held at the conference center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Tehran, Mehr News Agency reported.
The event has been organized in collaboration with the Telecoms Ministry and Iran’s Cyber Police and is expected to pave the way for the cooperation of private enthusiasts and professionals with the governmental sector.
According to Hamid Reza Hemmati, the head of the center, the event aims to bridge the gap between the two areas.
The official added that the main topics are Internet-based businesses, economics of cyberspace, cyber-security, web-based systems and web development and design.
On the sidelines of the conference, a panel discussion will be held focusing on the activities of the growing startup scene in Iran while discussing the challenges and solutions for launching a startup in the country.
Hemmati noted that with the development of technology in Iran and the high interest of the public in cyberspace “we have witnessed noticeable advancements.”
“The current events in the industry are due to the efforts of young enthusiasts in this realm over the past few years,” the official said in a press conference.
Hemmati added that several investors have provided financial and moral support and the comprehensive support of governmental organizations in this field is also gaining pace.
“With events like these, young activists will have better chances of presenting their innovative ideas and will receive more widespread support,” he said.
