Tehran will host the National Tournament of Videogames for the second consecutive year. The event has been scheduled from August 26 to September 4 at the capital’s Milad Tower and is organized by Cube Company, the official representative of Electronic Sports World Convention in Iran, ISNA reported. Winners will represent Iran in ESWC, which is an international professional gaming championship held in Paris. Every year, winners of the national events earn the right to represent their country in ESWC. Iran Computer and Video Games Foundation will fund the event. Gamers participate in online contests and winners play in matches held at the local offices of Cube Company. The finalists compete at Milad Tower. In 2014, Iran won the ESWC Gold Medal in FIFA 15—an association football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts.
