Iranian team MRL from Qazvin Islamic Azad University has claimed two more first place titles in RoboCup 2016 currently underway in Leipzig.

Iranian MRL (Mechatronics Research Laboratories) team managed to defeat its rivals in RoboCup rescue league and win the first place in the Exploration category, Mehr News Agency reported.  

In the main competition section of RoboCup rescue league, MRL was qualified for the finals along with three other teams from Austria, Germany and Thailand to compete for the first place title. In the rescue stimulation league, MRL won Iran’s first title.

Over 200 teams from universities, schools and institutes from 45 countries are participating in this year’s edition. The 20th edition of RoboCup 2016, which kicked off in the German city of Leipzig on Thursday, wraps up on July 4.
