Iran's Ambassador to Belarus Mohammad Reza Sabouri voiced Tehran’s willingness to promote bilateral relations with Minsk in the fields of science and technology. “Science and innovative companies of Iran are ready for cooperation with the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park to produce high-technology goods,” Sabouri told the Belarusian Telegraph Agency. “We suggest that Iranian companies use the strategic geographic position of Belarus both for the development of Iranian-Belarusian relations and for entering the markets of the European Union and Eurasian Economic Union.” The diplomat stressed that these and other issues would be considered in detail at a meeting of the Belarusian-Iranian commission on cooperation in science, technology and higher education. Speaking at the 13th session of Iran-Belarus Economic Commission in Minsk, Belarus Premier Andrei Kobyakov also praised the long record of cooperation between the two countries and the resulting achievements.
