South Korean Engineering Society for International Cooperation honored Iran's Ambassador in Seoul Hassan Taherian by presenting its annual award. The event was organized to mark the 2016 Engineering Day on Wednesday and also in commemoration of the completion of the ancient wall of Seoul city, Hanyang. During the ceremony held in the presence of Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kang Ho-in, representatives of South Korean construction engineering companies expressed their interest in Iran's engineering projects, Mehr News Agency reported. After the removal of sanctions against Iran, South Koreans have expressed greater interest in boosting cooperation with the country. Kang Ho-in presented the prize to Taherian in appreciation of his efforts to promote international cooperation. Taherian noted that there are huge potentials for construction engineering in Iran and South Korea is among countries keen on developing relations with Iran.
