The world’s most prestigious scientific centers such as CERN and INFN in Italy have expressed readiness to cooperate with Iran, the head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said.

Ali Akbar Salehi was speaking in the first course of Iran’s Particle Accelerator School on Monday with 67 participants, including faculty members, representatives from scientific centers, as well as MA and PhD students, IRNA reported.

“Fortunately, the conditions created by the implementation of the nuclear deal are truly exceptional. There was a time when no country was ready to cooperate with us, but now we have so many proposals that it has become rather difficult to choose between them,” he said.

Salehi further said the Particle Accelerator School will make it possible for seasoned experts to transfer their experience and knowledge to interested youth and researchers, calling on the students to aim high for Nobel prizes.

“We cannot establish laboratories and advanced universities in every location with such limited resources, so we must take advantage of the current opportunity and make great use of the experiences of the world-known veteran director of the school and establish connection with major international laboratories,” he said.

He maintained that Iran’s priority in the scientific arena is to study matter, adding that one way to understand matter is through particle accelerators.

Salehi hoped that the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology and the country's universities would follow up on the subject of particle accelerators in earnest.

The first course of Iran’s Particle Accelerators School in collaboration with the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology and Iran Nuclear Society was launched on January 10 and will continue until February 9, 2016.
