New Internet operators will start offering services in the next two months, said the deputy of Iran's Communication's Regulatory Authority. Recently nine new permits have been issued to companies for offering Fiber Channel Protocol services, Mehr News Agency quoted Sadeq Abbasi Shahkouh as saying. Aside from Internet-related services, these companies will also be delivering services in the areas of telephone landlines and Internet telephones. The official elaborated that the operators will also be offering WiMax and WiFi services. Shahkouh noted that 100,000 new phone numbers have been made available and will be given to operators depending on their demand. "Tariffs for the new services will be the same as those currently levied by the CRA," he said.
