Iran’s deputy science minister for research and technology said European countries are keen to boost scientific ties with Iran. Talking about expansion of international ties, Vahid Ahmadi announced that a Swiss delegation will visit Iran soon, Mehr News Agency reported. “European countries are eager to develop international relations and scientific ties with Iran since our country enjoys a great scientific and technological level in the region and it is the regional center for technology development,” he said. “So far, delegations from Germany, Italy, Austria and France have visited Iran and signed MoUs.” Ahmadi said relations with regional countries, including Kazakhstan, have been reinforced. “Two months ago, the Center for Expansion of Knowledge-Based Companies was established in Kazakhstan and Iranian firms can work there,” he said. “Expanding regional ties are significant for Iran; firstly, for presenting technology in the region and secondly, for expanding bilateral ties with European countries.”
