Cellphone "Selfie" Contest

A new photographic contest by Iran's largest mobile phone operator, Hamrah-e-Aval, has been launched on the online mobile photo-sharing and social networking service Instagram. The contest began on 23 Aug. and will be held for 14 days with the handle @hamrah_e_aval.  To participate in the contest, "Instagrammers" must submit pictures with the subject of either tech, convenience, creative visualization or their experience of the operator. All photos submitted to the contest need to have the hashtag #hamrah_e_aval and two Persian hashtags from "eight A.M. to eight P.M." Three photos will be chosen by the jury and shared every day at 10 in the morning for public vote on MCI's Instagram account, the group's PR department reported. The photo with the most likes by the same time next day will be chosen "star of the day."  After 14 days all the stars of the days will compete in a finale, which will only be available to subscribers of the account. The first three qualifiers will receive an iPhone 6 and a SIM card, a mini iPad plus SIM card and a 3G modem plus SIM card respectively.
