The digital startup event called Seedstars World will be held in the Iranian capital this week.
The event is returning for a second time to Tehran to identify the next big digital startup. The event will take place on September 3 at Avatech Accelerator.
Overall, 12 startups will be selected for the local pitch competition in September. Each team gets six minutes to pitch in and four minutes for question and answer. The winning team wins an all-inclusive trip to Switzerland to attend the global pitch event, according to Techrasa.
In the finals, the winning team, after going through different rounds, receives $500,000 equity investment and access to Seedstars’ network of investors.
To enter the competition, startups are either invited with an invitation code, or they can fill up the preliminary application form, from the Seedstars World Tehran page.
Applications are then reviewed and qualified startups will be invited to complete the full application form.
