Iranian Minister of Science Mohammad Farhadi said Iranian science and technology parks exported products worth $24 million.
“Thirty-six science and technology parks, which housed 600 companies, exported products valued at $24 million and sold $300 million worth of products domestically,” he said.
He further referred to the nuclear agreement between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, and assured that Iran would towards international investment and scientific interactions, ISNA reported.
Farhadi also called for seizing the opportunities and expanding cooperation with other countries by holding training courses, conducting joint studies, establishing joint scientific centers and undertaking industrial cooperation.
In April, the Iranian Parliament ratified the allocation of $300 million from the National Development fund to the Innovation and Prosperity Fund to support growth in science-related industries.
The fund is tasked with allocating resources to construct technology complexes in different cities and has called for domestic knowledge-based companies to set up office in business parks either paid by installment or hire-purchase.
