The 3rd International Biotechnology Festival is to be held in Tehran on May, 21-23, said Mostafa Ghaneie, the secretary of the biotechnology development headquarters, IRNA reported. Foreign attendees likely to be at the event will include people from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Syria, Russia, Pakistan whilst China and India are probably coming Ghaneie noted, adding, "this year's festival in light of the recent political events will help the biotechnology industry grow within Iran and expand in the region and beyond." The festival's main aims are to promote indigenous Iranian biotechnology companies, while also signing partnership contracts with international companies. The event will aim to help foreign biotech firms to meet potential Iranian clients and partners.
