Middle East Bank was ranked as the top Iranian bank in terms of taking anti-money laundering measures in the fiscal year that ended in March. The Central Bank of Iran conducts regular assessment of bank and credit institutions’ implementation of AML regulations, according to which Middle East Bank managed to get the highest score in related measures like authenticity of data, reporting, and training staff, the bank reported on its website on Thursday. Constitutional laws, government regulations and CBI directives, as well as international regulations and treaties will be used as the criteria for assessing lenders’ performance. The private lender, is set to open a branch in Munich. Austria’s Erste bank has reportedly opened accounts with the Middle East Bank
