The 25th International Exhibition of Electronics, Computers and e-Commerce (Elecomp 2019) will open on July 18 at Tehran International Fairground. It will have a new section devoted to vacancies in the field of information and communication technology.
Titled 'Elecomp Jobs', the latest addition will address one of the tough challenges ICT graduates face -- finding a job related to their academic background, the head of the ICT Guild Organization Mohammad Baqer Asna-Ashari told Mehr News Agency.
"Elecomp Jobs will link knowledge-based and ICT companies to talented and skilled graduates."
The event comprises several sections, namely "Elecomp Trends" which will entertain institutions active in specialized fields of artificial intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things, big data and cloud services. Firms active in such sectors can offer products and let participants track their progress.
Asna-Ashari said the event, which will last until July 21, would focus more on introducing and promoting startups and small business.
The number of halls allocated to startups will grow from four last year to six. "With the number of technology firms and startups growing rapidly, giving more space to them will help in their promotion."
Some 320 tech firms, 430 startups and 45 game and app developers participated in Elecomp last year.
