Supported by the Vice Presidential Office for Science and Technology, Iranian firms active in the fields of information technology and digital media are to hold an exhibition at Yerevan’s Expo Center on June 22-24.
The expo is aimed at promoting IT-related services offered by Iranian firms and facilitating the entry of local startups in the markets of neighboring countries, the vice president’s website reported.
Some of the services and products showcased by Iranian firms at the expo are content delivery, establishment of online databases, online publications, mobile apps and computer programs, smart utilities, digital arts and videogames.
Iranian startups and social media platform developers are scheduled to participate in the event.
Handbooks introducing the Iranian IT sector and startups will be published at the expo in three languages, namely Armenian, Russian and Georgian.
Business forums are to be held on the sidelines of the event, where business-to-business meetings will be held between Iranian firms and their Armenian, Georgian and Russian counterparts.
A meeting will be held between Iranian companies and representatives from Information Technology Businesses Guild of Armenia.
According to the event’s website, setting up a stand at the expo will cost 4.3-7.5 million rials ($90-157) per square meter. Promotional packages will be offered to Iranian startups participating in the exhibition.
