Local automotive company Iran Khodro has once increased prices of several models by 30%, including the locally designed Samand, Runna, Peugeot models 405 and 206.
According to new factory price lists published on IKCO.ir, the price of Peugeot 206 has been increased from 419 million rials ($3,813) to 545 million rials ($4,957) – up 30%.
IKCO offers several versions of Peugeot 405. The basic version which comes with the code name SLX now costs 455 million rials ($4,140), while the face-lifted version dubbed Peugeot Pars is priced at 527 million rials ($4,798).
The firm has also increased the price of locally-designed l Samand. It is now selling Samand for 433 million rials ($3,945) -- up 29% from the previous $3,049.
Price tag of another locally designed sedan, Runna, has also gone up. A new Runna now costs 513 million rials ($4,669).
The firm has also doubled the price of a pickup model based on Renault’s Logan, locally known as Tondar. As of Wednesday, the pickup costs 799 million rials ($7,264) -- a 104% hike from 391 million rials ($3,560).
