Parental Control App in Farsi

Tech firm Dorsa Family has introduced a full suite of parental control tools in a mobile application aimed at keeping kids safe online, by blocking access to inappropriate websites.

The parental control app 'Donyaye Dorsa' (Dorsa's world), lets parents restrict kids' access to communication services and limit undesired material available online, Webna news website reported.

The app can be downloaded directly from the firm’s website dorsafamily.ir.

Abbas Mohammadkhani, Dorsa’s director, said when the application is installed on a smartphone or tablet, parents can manage their children’s access to the Internet and other communication services.

"Limitations can be placed on phone calls, text messages, Internet usage time and keywords that can be searched online."

There is a variety of parental control applications already available for Android and iOS devices, including Mobicip, Nischint, Watchover, uKnowKids and NetGear Parental Control Router.

However, Dorsa World is one of the first apps offering such services in the Persian language.

In addition to the parental control services, Dorsa Family also offers educational and entertainment material for children.

Launched in 2015, the team has produced over 80 multimedia shows, books and educational and entertainment content in collaboration with 34 content producers. The firm has 600,000 clients.

The material is available through the team's website and a mobile app 'Dorsa Bazaar', which categorizes the content based on topics and the targeted age. Dorsa Bazaar is available for download on the firm’s website.
